Our Team

We’re a small, focused team that combines deep technical expertise in cybersecurity and software development, hands-on experience in gaming and consumer product growth, and a genuine obsession with getting this right. We’ve read the research, talked to hundreds of parents, and built things at scale before.

We started FamilyBond because we’re parents too — and we couldn’t find a tool we’d actually want to use with our own kids.

We started thinking about FamilyBond because the research is clear and the industry is ignoring it.

After digging through dozens of academic studies, we found something uncomfortable: parental control apps aren’t failing because of bad technology. They’re failing because they were built around the wrong idea. Restriction without conversation doesn’t build safer kids. It builds kids who learn to work around the app — and stop talking to their parents.


89% of features in today’s parental control apps are pure restriction. Only 11% support self-regulation. Kids rate these apps overwhelmingly negatively. And teens on heavily monitored phones are actually more likely to encounter online risks, not less.


So when we thought about FamilyBond’s vision, we decided to build something different. FamilyBond is an AI-powered family companion that helps parents and kids work together toward healthier digital habits — across all their devices, from day one. Smart policies. Real conversations. A companion for the kid, not just a dashboard for the parent.

We believe empowerment outlasts enforcement. And we’re building a product that proves it.
